Handicap accessible.
As
one of the first and only places in Visayas, St. Bernard Beach Resort
is well prepared and made as a place with handicap accessibility We
have made pathways and entrances to all Cottages via ramps which have a small
gradient. In
the cottages there are no doorsteps either to or in the room. Most
off our toilets present no problem for a wheelchair the door wide is 65 cm. But
we also made our special cottage 2, with a large toilet and a door
wide of 80 cm. The accessibility to the restaurant and the beachfront sun terrace
is connected without any problems, Half of the beachfront is made in concrete
covered with pebbles and is really nice to drive on, from there is
there a cement ramp direct to the beach. If you are in a wheelchair, then
you can still get
to the water´s edge with no problem at. Obviously it not possible to
construct concrete path on the beach as the level of the sand alters with
different tides.
All our staff are trained trough their daily work to assist user of wheelchair and as a part of our normal service those who need a hand to go down to the beach or getting into the water, just ask and they will help you, they do not need many explanations or teaching !
