Sailormoon Links ~ Rurouni Kenshin Links
Miscellaneous Links ~ Link to Me
(ah, the nostalgia...was I ever so young? ^_^)
An Usagi/Mamoru fanfiction archive, this was my "first love" among fanfic sites. There are lots of funny, mushy, and angsty fics. I have especially fond memories of Thursday's Child by Stormlight, Next Time Take The Stairs by Alicia Blade, and A Mistletoe Story by Natia_99.
A shrine to Sailor Saturn. Has information, a good-sized image gallery with some great pics, and even some .wav sound files of her attacks! Each page also has BEAUTIFUL background music, so stay at the entrance page a while and listen. Then you can go inside, and listen to the music while browsing the other pages! The background pictures of each webpage are very pretty too, by the way.
One of the first Sailormoon sites that I ever went to. Highlights include Naoko Takeuchi's old character prototypes in Moon Park, extremely comprehensive character shrines in Shrine Central, and GORGEOUS manga pics scattered throughout the site.
In the site's own words: A non-lemon Rurouni Kenshin fan fiction archive organized by title, genre, pairing, or timeline.
maigo-chan's Rurouni Kenshin Manga Translations
maigo-chan is such a good translator, you can read her translations without having seen that part of the story, and it makes total sense! So if you missed an episode, or have no way of seeing the series, this is the place to go! Plus, there are BONUS STORIES from the manga that weren't included in the anime--so what're you waiting for? Go there!
Madamhydra's Lair
- Rurouni Kenshin Fics
The home of the ABSOLUTE BEST Rurouni Kenshin fanfic ever (in my opinion), That Which Lingers by Madamhydra. It's exciting, angsty, and funny by turns (or even all at the same time)! Check out her other RK fics as well, especially A Telling Gesture and Impressions in the Sketches section.
The World of Akihabara Dennou Gumi
An Akihabara Dennou Gumi (Cyberteam in Akihabara) site with absolutely EVERYTHING: information, an image gallery, fanstuff, and more!
An essential destination for any fan of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series! Lists the Shakespeare references in Wyrd Sisters, the references to Christmas carols in Hogfather, et cetera...you get the idea! You read a Discworld book and think you've gotten most of the jokes...then you visit here and find out you don't know the half of it!
SkyFire has written some HILARIOUS Lord of the Rings fanfics! My favorites are The Perils of Fangorn and Saruman's Revenge. Also check out her really great serious fanfics, The Treachery of Saruman and Partings. She also has some funny fanart, cool plotbunny generators, and great original stories.
A great site full of Tolkien-related humor, including an excerpt from William Shakespeare's lost work The Tragedie of Frodo Baggins and the truly brilliant (though insane) Tolkien Crackpot Theories.
A great art site whose main highlights (for me, anyway) are the anime-style drawing tutorials, which are very helpful, and the MOC (Monthly Original Character) contest. There's also info on various anime series in Otaku Central, and lots of other stuff too, so check BakaNeko.com out!
Probably the biggest fanfic archive on the web. Almost anyone can post almost anything here, so be warned that this place is the home of the good, the bad and the ugly of the fanfic world. However, there are a lot of real gems here, and rare fandoms too, so it's definitely worth a visit.
Declare Baguio City, Philippines, as a Special Heritage Zone
A petition to preserve the beautiful City of Pines, whose tree-covered mountainsides are rapidly being overrun by houses. To all Filipinos who love Baguio, please sign this and help save my hometown.
If anyone wants to link to my page (as if...), feel free to do so! I'd love it if you did. Please send me an e-mail at gabriela@mozcom.com--not to ask permission, since the answer will always be "yes," but just to let me know that someone actually likes this place enough to link to it. ^_~
