LOCAL ADOPTION SERVICE - KBF and the Department of Social Welfare and Development are the only two agencies implementing local adoption. It is registered, licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as a child placement agency. The service involves recruitment, assessment, development and maintenance of a pool of adoptive families for permanent placement of children. It includes socio-legal and other professional services that are required from the time of application to adopt a child until the adoption is finalized in court.
INTERCOUNTRY ADOPTION SERVICE - Intercountry adoption has become an alternative for children who are not adopted locally. KBF provides liaisoning services to Holt International Children’s Services, USA; Les Amis Enfants Du Monde (AEM), France; Sourires d’Enfants, Belgium; Netherlands Intercountry Child Welfare Organization (Wereldkinderen), The Netherlands; and Humanikat, Israel for adoption placement of Filipino children with the adoptive families of these agencies in coordination with the Intercountry Adoption Board (ICAB) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

SPONSORSHIP SERVICE - KBF serves as the conduit for Holt International Children’s Services, Inc. Sponsorship Program in the Philippines. At present, it coordinates with five (5) government and seven (7) non government child caring agencies which are selected as beneficiaries of monthly grants from Holt to help improve the quality of service to children in care.
FOSTER CARE SERVICE - KBF offers a temporary substitute family care for children – newborn to two (2) years old – when their birth families cannot take care of them temporarily or permanently. KBF maintains a pool of licensed foster families in Manila, Region III, VII and XI, which provide stimulating family environment for the growth and development of the children in their care while awaiting return to their birth families or adoption. It also recruits, assesses, develops and licenses foster families through the Department of Social Welfare and Development for ready placement of children for temporary care.
SERVICE FOR SINGLE MOTHERS- Expectant single mothers are provided a holistic and rehabilitative service which includes food, shelter, medical care (pre-natal, childbirth, post-natal through the hospital), casework & counseling, value formation and spiritual growth, skills training & personality development and family therapy. The counseling is focused on family preservation and permanency planning for the child. The service operates a home for single mothers called Nazareth Home that can accommodate twenty (20) single mothers at any given time.
DAY CARE SERVICE - KBF provides daytime care to pre-school children, 3 to under 6 years old, of low income families whose mothers are working and/or unable to provide early childhood care and development to their children. This service is designed to provide children with socialization and protection for total development: spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical. Daily supplemental feeding is one of its special features.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICE - This service involves community organizing. KBF organizes families of its Day Care children and other disadvantaged families to empower them socially and economically through skills training , capital assistance and seminars on effective parenting and moral values.
INDEPENDENT LIVING AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE SERVICE - Enables children who have become ineligible for further stay in institutions and orphanages, who have no families to return to or who were not adopted, to obtain education to prepare them for independent, decent and self-reliant living. This includes the operation of a group home which is called Genesis Home where the children live by themselves with no houseparent but supervised by a social worker and learn homelife skills e.g. budgeting, marketing, menu planning, cooking and laundering, while going to school.
FUND DEVELOPMENT UNIT - This service is envisioned to establish a regular structure for generation of funds to ensure agency’s sustainability.
These fund generating activities include among others direct mail solicitations, conduct of special events and partnership with fund-raising entities.
