PHILIP D. TANGCO has had numerous experiences in many fields before venturing to write this book. He graduated elementary and high school from La Salle Green Hills and went on to take up Behavioral Science and Management in De La Salle College (now De La Salle University). by some graduate work at the University of the Philippines under its Masters in Public Administration program. Presently, he is taking his Masters in Business Administration from the De La Salle University's graduate school.


          He has become the promoter, founder, cofounder, chairman, board member, president, and vice president of several businesses, cooperatives and corporations that specialized mostly in garment manufacture, importation and exportation, fashion designing, agribusiness and dairy production. Notably amongst these are his pioneering concepts of the common customs bonded warehouse and a unique working system between cooperatives and corporations. As this book is published he is a practicing management consultant. He  serves in the Philippine Marine Corps Reserve. He has also volunteered his services at the Red Cross, the now defunct Rainbow Communications Organization (a social-civic organization) and with the NAMFREL during national elections.


          Although this is his first book, he is not without writing experience. He has written for and has been on the editorial board of CITEMAR 6, the official organ of the Philippine Marine Corps. Aside from this, he is editor and webmaster of The Paper, the electronic newsletter of La Salle Green Hills High School Class '70 and is responsible for a few other websites.


          His interests are as varied as his background. They include reading, computer games, programming, gardening, fishing, precision and combat shooting, internet surfing, sports kiting, aerobic and weight training, martial arts, photography and of course, writing. - NST
