HOLY GHOST OUTPOURING IN SAN FERNANDO CITY, LA UNION
- June 1999

Dear Brother Denny,

Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow!  God has been good to us.  We just concluded our meeting in San Fernando.  We had a dynamic seventeen member team of Filipino's, Indian's and Chinese.  We went with a word from the Lord, "The secret is knowing that you are sent."  When God sends he supports and supplies. We knew we were on His mission.

We arrived in Manila about 1:30 Thursday.  By three o'clock we were on our way by chartered bus. We arrived in San Fernando tired but happy at about 10:45.  Reservations had been scrambled so instead of doubles we piled in with some foursomes.  We could sort out the mess after some sleep.

Friday morning we had a powerful team prayer with God setting and confirming  the agenda.  We proceeded to the gym and had a couple hours of teaching for the pastors and leaders.
Friday night was deadicated to healing and miracles. The crowd was about 425. Jesus in his compassion and mercy healed many people.  One highlight was the father, mother and two sisters of one of our Filipino saints had traveled many hours to the meeting. The father had a injured stiff knee. God completely healed him and the entire family was filled with the Holy
Ghost.  Though healing was the focus, as we prayed and people were healed they were also filled with the Holy Ghost.  As it ended we don't know how many were healed but we know that 48 were filled.

Saturday - The Saturday crowd was smaller about 375.  The worship was powerful and God blessed.  Holy Ghost was the emphasis. It was noted that about 73 came forward to receive the Holy Ghost.  Sixty eight left that night having spoken in tongues.  Among them was four members of one of our Filipino saints.  Father, mother, two brothers were all dancing and
intoxicated on "living water." The next morning they were all baptized. This is significant.  We have always told our FJF saints that if they will be faithful to God in Singapore, God will help us win their families back in the Philippines.  It is happening over and over again.

Sunday - At starting time the crowd was about 300 but within the hour it swelled to around 700.  Again the music team lead a powerful worship service.  Bro. Dodjie Cargando preached a wonderful message of repentance. God honored the message and brought His covering conviction.  Hearts were rent and sins were forgiven.    This was followed by a song of thanksgiving for His mercy and forgiveness.  This was preperation for Pentecost.

Now we were ready for the power of Pentecost.  After a twenty minute message about the power and purpose of the Holy Ghost the invitation was given.  Two hundred and twenty people came to the alter.  A prayer of faith was prayed and the Holy Ghost fell like rain.  Dozens were being filled even without anyone praying with them.  In the first ten to fifteen minutes more than a hundred were wonderfully baptized..  Ushers were extremely busy getting those filled taken aside where they were grouped together to receive "New Birth" counselling and a lesson on baptism.  The level of prayer and praise stayed very high for about 45 minutes.  In the end out of the 220 that came to the alter it was confirmed that two hundred and nine had received the Holy Ghost.  Among them was an old man seventy seven years
old that was carried to the alter in a chair.  He prayed the whole time. After an hour an altar worker ask if he wanted to rest.  He said no and kept on praying.  So did we.  Suddenly he broke through and was gloriouslyfilled.  A radiant smile broke out on his face as the light and power of God flooded his whole being.  Amazingly he indicated to someone that he wanted to stand up.  With a bit of help he stood.  Slowly he took halting, wobbling steps.  But with each step came increacing strength.  Before long he was walking all across the front.  What a God we serve.

In all three hundred and twenty five were filled.  Oh how He loves you and I.

A special thank you to Missionary Cecil Sullivan.  A great friend and supporter of Tabernacle of Joy.  Thanks Bro. Sullivan.  You don't have to love us so much but we sure enjoy it.

Also we want to thank Bro. Art Martinez whose presence always adds blessing to any meeting.  Thanks Bro. Martinez for caring and giving of yourself to Tabernacle of Joy.  We love you.

And not to forget Bro.Banez.  What a friend! What an interpreter!!  God bless and reward you a hundred fold for the sacrifice of driving down the mountain road everyday from Baguio and driving home everynight in the dark.

And finally I want to thank Bro. Navallo  for all his love and support.  He has placed a great deal of liberty and confidence in Tabernacle of Joy and our prayer is that we never let him down.  God bless, strengthen and keep this great man of God.

Working Together for Souls,
R. S. Willoughby
