On July 1, 2005, a historic event
happened at Wesleyan University-Philippines. Coinciding with the 59th founding
anniversary of the institution was the investiture of Lawyer Guillermo
T. Maglaya as the fourth university president. He is the first Wesleyan
alumnus ever to occupy the position.
